Chili, Cashews & Salad

My side salad at lunch today. I had this with raspberry viniagarette, a bowl of chili and a few tangelo slices.Chili (Simply Organic vegetarian chili seasoning packet + cayenne pepper & fiesta chili powder) with yellow pepper, corn and red, black and red kidney beans~

I admit it, I'm a fan of veggie ground. My favorite faux meat.
The further experimentation of my unsalted cashews. Tonight I roasted them with the following: sea salt, sugar in the raw, turmeric, curry powder, fresh ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic powder. I still have a batch to go! I'm thinking maple roasted for next time.

Potato bread from Grand Central Bakery. Tommy's a fan of having bread in the house, go figure, so I picked up a loaf after work on Hawthorne. I never liked potato bread growing up, but it's Grand Central and they are fabulous, and I'm trying to branch out, so here we go. I always thought potato bread was too thick and yellow to enjoy. Yet this looks and smells good, and I'll try it tommorow night for a sandwich.

Interesting with the cashews. I like my cashews sweet with maple syrup and vanilla. Mmm. Your salad looks refreshing.

Eatpeaceplease- thanks for reminding me of vanilla for the cashews!

allie-I roasted these cashews for 25 minutes at 325F. I've tried roasting at higher and lower temps, but this has worked best so far.

Harmonia-thank you!

mmmm I love to do roasted cashews for the kids. About once every two weeks or so, I'll throw together a maple popcorn cashew type thing. It's delicious. Those look great.

Have any ideas for dehydrating stuff or tips for?

Thanks!

Oh! Have you tried fiddling with that code, by chance? I think I FINALLY got it and wondered if you would be able to post yours (whenever you have your list done, that is)
