blast from the past

Oh, hey! 

Is this thing on?
Does anyone....remember me? 
Remember...vegan food blogs? 
Remember...to prep dinner? Buy more coffee?

Anywhoo.

It's jess. Well, I'm jess. Is there anyone out there?  Am I in your precious inbox?!

OK, I'm popping back onto this O-G space because those early days of "food blogging" - or what I describe as "talking about food on the internet" - have been on my mind as of late. Tenderly, amusingly, frankly.

Perhaps, you're actually (!) reading (!) this (!) Cool.
Perhaps, you've been following along where I've moved - both on the internet and IRL - through the years. Aw, shucks. 

The interior of Alaska. The mountains of Wyoming.  Occasionally Bushwick, in Brooklyn.

Nowadays, the central coast of Vietnam. 

Which one is the biggest surprise? Which have been the most fulfilling?

The answer is...all of 'em.

As for me....still me....

I still write. More than ever, actually.
I totally still cook. A lot. Even here.

And I'm still obsessed with farmers markets and taking endless photos of vegan food - though these days it's local street markets and bowls of Mì Quảng & Bún chay in Da Nang, Vietnam.

So, hey. Hey. How are You?

I'm...okay. Often pleasant. Consistenly, contemplative. 
Had some "big life changes" last autumn.  Pushing forward.
