What's for dinner? Mom's Breakfast Casserole!
This another test recipe for Isa's Crack of Noon brunch cookbook.
Vegan morning time comfort food! Any time comfort food that was made to deliver leftovers.
I made this for dinner, served with a big pile of smoky greens.
On one half I melted some sliced teese and a little shredded medium cheddar scheese that I had in the freezer (though I prefer strong cheddar by far).
Pre-cheezed & pre-baked. There's a layer of potatoes under there, too!
Leaving for NYC in 5 days! Finally, vacation!
Get Sconed! has MOVED!

Wow, that's DEFINITELY screaming "comfort food," haha. Looks hearty!
Ahh, your NYC trip is coming up soon!!! :0)
I can't wait until Isa's new book comes out- that casserole looks sooo comforting!
This looks so interesting. And potatoes - hiding. Awesome. Enjoy your vacation!
Oh, BTW, I read about the podcasts on Julie's blog. How cool is that!? I'm going to have a listen.
Wow that looks awesome!
That looks hearty and comforting!
That looks so hearty and delicious, I wish you had posted the recipe (with proper attribution, of course, if from a cookbook). I want it!
I love brunch for dinner. I love brunch any time, frankly. Have a safe trip to NY! Can't wait!
Abram, this is a test recipe for Isa Chandra Moskowitz's upcoming cookbook, Crack of Noon. It is a secret work in progress - look for the book next year! It's worth the wait : )

Holy wow, I think we'll all be eating a lot more brunch when this book comes out.
hi vegan on stage -
I live in Portland, OR, though I'm originally from Islip, NY.
I have actually been to both Candle (Cafe) and Gobo, though not in years!
I am so looking forward to this - any suggestions welcome - I'm staying with my sister in Ridgewood and really just on vacation. Mostly exploring.
Hey Jess! Fantastic looking casserole although I would definitely opt to have it for dinner rather than the crack of noon! I am so excited for your trip to NY I can't wait to hear all about it!
Wow! I love breakfast casseroles! Actually, I just love casseroles in general!
BTW, I FINALLY ordered some Teese!!! Yea! It's not here yet, but I'm counting down the days!
I was going to make this, but I realized I am far too lazy. Looks good!
