So, pasta..

I'm feeling 75 % better today (I credit my boyfriend's comfort and the gatorade) and made a real dinner. Whole Wheat pasta, with sauteed cremini mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, blanched turnip raab and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast. The vegetables were sauteed in olive oil, with garlic & crushed red pepper (what a shocker!) with a very small amount of balsamic vinegar and lemon juice. I add a light spray of braggs and dash of freshly ground pepper to work with the bitterness of the greens. Great tasting, the bitterness of the greens worked well the the tart lemon and sweet ole cherry tomatoes. Free time earlier this evening somehow became clean the fridge night. My boyfriend also hacked the extra frosty ice growing in the freezer. Yes, this is it clean..

Thanks for your comment on my blog!I'm glad your feeling at least a little bit better. I wish our fridge was as clean as that, but my sister keeps bringing produce home from her job, so both our fridges (one is in a little apartment attached to our house) are filled to the hilt and disorded. Waahh.

I went out food shopping the other day and nutritional yeast was on my list of items to purchase. Except i have no idea where they keep it in the store. So i stopped a store associate and the ensuing conversation included a long blank stare like I had six heads with a recomendation that i check a health food store.

so pray tell, where on earth do you purchase nutritional yeast?

Jessiegirl, you definitly need to shop at a health food store for nutritional yeast. I found it in the supplement section of a health food store I shop at.

Fortunately I hid my fridge door from everyone that's packed to the max with bottles, although it was cleaned as well. This is the cleanest my fridge has been since we moved in in August.

Jessie- Nutritional yeast indeed can be found at health stores, and at the big "natural" supermarket types and coops in bulk bins, ie Fred Meyer, Whole Foods, Wild Oats..

Nice fridge shot! I always like to look in other peoples' fridges...
I included a pantry shot in my midweek munchies.
Glad you're feeling better!

you are such a pasta superstar. seriously. whenever I see postings on pasta I'm always like "must make pasta more often." but I just don't. hmmpf. but I thank you for the beautiful luscious photos!
and I such a voyeur, I LOVE pictures of peoples fridges and kitchens. It's so telling. That's my favorite part on Cribs. Oops, did I just admit I watch pointless crap on MTV?
