Candy Bar Cake

Candy Bar Cake.

"Candy Bar" Cake: one chocolate "wacky" cake layer, one vanilla-cinnamon layer, peanut butter mousse filling (leftover from cannolis - truly decadent stuff) and a really rich peanut butter-chocolate buttercream with a chocolate ganache ooze on top. Oh, snap.
Seriously, it was so rich. As for the flavors, I personally love peanut butter and chocolate together but want the tastes next to each other to complement, not mixed together, but other people go for the mixture, so I went with it. I'm also glad I gave it a vanilla layer and not both chocolate, that would be a heart attack. My boyfriend and I think the ganache was too much, but really I just accidentally put way more than I plannet too (I'm used to thick ganaches, and this one I was making very thin).
I somehow ended up with this (fortunately had friends to share it with and help make - thanks Julie for helping bake this!!) with just looking for a way to use up the leftover peanut butter mousse, sad but true (and creatively productive at least).

Is this for real here?!? Am I dreaming!??! Oh how I wish you could bake for me. This is all-out and wonderful.

It looks huge, too. I probably could eat about half of it (myself).

To everyone I have to say...

It's a freaking monster of a cake..and believe it or not it's just a normal double layer cake, you know plus a load of frosting. This monster shouldn't be made for at least a year, though I think it was the biggest hit of a cake I've made yet.
I also realize that I *really* want to make cakes for other people, so I need to do some business-minded thinking.

And for the curious, the next cake I have planned is a coconut layer cake.

I'd be your #1 customer. Especially since there's no baking around here (which I miss). Or a good excuse for me to travel the NW.

When I come here, I've got the impression to come in a restaurant's kitchen. They're always ideas for recipes you can eat alone, but your friends will be glad to taste also. It is what I call the "generous recipes". Thank you for all these ideas. And this huge cake is wonderful. Congratulations !

So, if you decide to take this cake making to the next level, would you ship to Minnesota? (I desperately need one on April 22nd!)
