Agave Roasted Macadamia Nuts and Cashews

Tonight's dinner would be boring to document again - fire roasted tomatoes with red peppers, spinach and garlic over veggie spirals - a favorite staple; so I open the weekend with a quick nut project. I made this small batch of spicy agave roasted nuts, and one just sweet. I actually used a recipe, and the key is, you roast the nuts and then add the goods.
I want to make these all the time.

YUM!!!

It reminds of a stand in a mall I once saw (ok, smelled first) where they were roasting almonds with cinnamon and sugar right on the spot. They sold a ridiculously small amount for a ridiculously high price, but they were SOOOOOOO good.

The guys on the street in NYC sell these... You can smell them from 1/2 block away. I went to Provincetown on Cape Cod last summer and there was a shop that made candied pecans or cashews and sold them in a paper funnel. So good- but sooo expensive.
