The Portland Vegan 100

100 Great Vegan Foodz in Portland, OR!

This list was inspired by Melissa Bastian's Vegan NYC 100 Listing for VeganMoFo, which was inspired by Hannah of Bittersweet's Vegan's Hundred.

This was a collaborative effort, I received feedback from vegans on the Post Punk Kitchen forums, via Facebook, Twitter and from straight up conversations in person with my friends.

If you're in the Portland area or familiar with our vegan scene, what are you waiting for?

Here's how it works:

1) Copy this list into your own blog, facebook or website, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Post a comment here once you’ve finished and link your post back to this one.
5) Pass it on!

Just posted this to Vegan.com. What a great feature! Sometimes I kick myself for not moving back to Portland.

What a great list! Love you.

Kinda can't believe you don't like scallions though. Yum!

it would be super helpful for those people like me that don't do HTML (and just don't feel like having to delete and retype everything), if you could post this untainted, without things boldened and crossed out.

Howzabout ANYTHING from Blossoming Lotus Irvington? My best meal in Portland: beginning to end.

Is it totally pathetic that I've lived here my whole life and only got 50/100??? Yikes! I've got to work on that! The only thing I can think to add would be boba milk tea at Chit Chat Cafe downtown. The milk is soy-based, and they even have a boba tea punch card! Taro is the best by far, imo.

I live in Seattle and only get to Portland once a year or so, so I didn't expect to be able to claim anything on this list. But I've had the Weeping Tiger at the Bye & Bye, as well as Sunday brunch at Sweetpea!

I hate scallions, too! I love the black olive cream cheeze at Sweetpea, though!

Mmm. Yummy list. (maybe a bit of a new To Do/Eat list...)

I'm from Edmonton and I've been to Portland 3 times this year, but I managed to get 27 or so off this list! :)

Can't wait to visit again!

Can't usually justify this type of non-reuben post, but hey, it's portland-centric, so I did it!

I am planning on moving to Portland from the East Coast, so this just might be my starting point of where/what to eat when I am out exploring! Thanks!
