Vegan Family Style Dinner at Red & Black Cafe
Saturday night I went with some buds and Thomas to the Red & Black Cafe's Vegan Family Style benefit dinner. Overall, I really, really enjoyed myself. I won't say too much about the particulars, since I'm saving that for a Stumptown Vegans review, but onto the grub....

The dark chocolate cake and Thomas' Espresso Affogato look awesome!
wow, what a spread! looks like a great dinner. I love the new blog layout as well!
The Espresso Affogato looks sinfully delicious. I often wish I had an espresso maker but I know that I wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost or the space it would take up. I do however have an ice cream maker and a coffee maker so perhaps I can make something similar with coffee. Mmmm. I'm salivating just thinking about it.
I wish I had been there Jess. It looks really good! I'm really curious about the cashew cheeze too.
Are they going to do the dinners every month?
yummmy! I'll take a bowl or two of the soup of the awesome gigantic beans! What kind of bean is that?
Mmm.... I'm re-living it right now.
What an amazing feast...That Affogato looks heavenly.
That food looks incredible...and family style - ooh! Love the new fuchsia, too.
yum!!
Looks like a fabulous meal! Especially that chocolate cake...
Wow, that all looks delicious. Hey, the black type on such a dark background is really hard to read, I had to highlight all the text (except the links which are readable).
Everything looks amazing!
I just have one word: gimme!
Or three words: gimme gimme gimme!
Wow! wonderful pictures.
Oh wow, this all looks so good. It's strange, but I have been craving soup like mad lately, and your white bean soup looks awesome. And the polenta with red onion jam sounds so fancy!
Thanks so much for your post, really effective data.
