Stumptown Vegans!

My, it's been somewhat of a busy work week for me. I've been wanting to tell you guys about something for days now! Webly of Fueled by Popcorn! and myself have been collaborating on a project:

As you have probably realized, we are both are passionate about great vegan food, were posting about dining out experiences on our own blogs here and there, and decided to join forces. Plus, now I'm a critical diner with a purpose! Just as we do in everyday life, we'll be dining at restaurants with all-vegan options, with many and sometimes with just one or two. Some of our current reviews feature: Jam on Hawthorne, Dot's Cafe, Pirate's Tavern and Flavorspot, among others.
The reviews will also be done while on the road. Upcoming reviews include Vegetarian House, Veggielicious and Dreamer's Cafe.

So if you're in Portland or coming to Portland or just interested - please check it out!
I really enjoy doing this - so let us know if there's anywhere you'd like us to check out~

Your restaurant review site is cool, but make sure that you're careful about spelling and other grammar-related issues. (I know I'm a bit of a nut to notice these things, but correctness increases the professionalism of the site.) The photos are great, and some of the restaurants sound amazing. Keep up the good work!

What a great idea. One of these days I'll make it up to Portland for lots of vegan eating!!

I LOVED the reviews! (Mainly 'cause I'm in Portland a lot on travel and business...).

I do agree with the above poster who mentioned spelling and grammar however. You do want people to take your site seriously, after all, because it's obvious you've put a lot of time and effort into it; so run a simple spell-check if you get the chance... Keep up the good work, it's GREAT!!

I like the new site, but I did have one problem with it. Even with my high speed internet, it took forever to load and it even locked up my browser briefly. Maybe you can either limit the pictures (especially their size) or have only a limited number of posts on the front page.

Do Proper Eats!
(not that I need a review of it, but still, the press is good for them)

Oh wow! This makes my own reviews even more embarrassing! It's great that you have an outlet for the restaurant critic in you!

Hey, do you know if any of those places can cook gluten-free too? it's tough being a gf vegan. :-)

Thanks you guys! We're working on the editing, don't fret.

Gaile - Blossoming Lotus in particular is gluten-free friendly, I actually just ate there for lunch. Many alternative grains and kamut pasta noodles. There are also many gluten free baked good options in town - Piece of Cake in Sellwood as well. Let me know if you have any particular curiousities!
