Thomas and I shared this Maple Cinnamon soft serve to-go from Blossoming Lotus on Saturday (take note - not the same day as the buffet! I didn't want to eat again till 4:30pm yesterday). It was not too sweet and full of spice~
Yesterday I made Blood Orange & Shallot BBQ sauce, based on the Veganomicon Backyard BBQ sauce recipe.
I subbed shallot for the onion, added the juice of one small blood orange, and swapped some maple syrup for the sugar. It was pureed after simmering. No chunky sauce for this gal.

We actually ordered the $4 one, but got this size by mistake, and the cashier came running outside to us with an additional 2 oz!
Did Sweetpea run out of food this time? We went the first Sunday and got there about 10:30 and the sign was already up that they were out of food. So I was hesitant to go yesterday. The food looks delish, though! I love that you can get almond milk (at no extra cost) in espresso drinks there :)

Yes! Hearing that the Sweetpea Brunch Buffet is most likely happening on a regular basis made my day. I will be there this weekend!
