Ugh (and links)

My camera broke. Again. It's truly, truly time for a new one...when I get back from my East Coast trip later this month. Looks like I'll be borrowing my sister's camera indeed.

For now, here's a link for all your world travelers (even if the link address is interesting, the information is great): Travelhacker's Top 50 Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants in the World.
From San Francisco to Portugal to Canada to the Philippines to Tasmania and Morocco, this list is very versatile and international. I haven't had any issues with this site, so please tell me if it tries to eat you.

Attention Canadian veg*ns and well, vegans!: Do you know T.O.F.U. Magazine? I do, as
Get Sconed!
has been mentioned in Issue #2! It's from Tumbleweed Entertainment, and features interviews, easy recipes and stories and more from vegans. I myself curled up on the couch and spend an evening reading it cover to cover. Thanks, Claire!

And the most link worthy note today? Just general love and wonderful vibes for my dear friend Joanna of Yellow Rose Recipes - available for preorder now! Baby before book!

And here's some Portland food porn from Bay Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant a couple weeks ago...

I feel like my camera hasn't been working well lately. It's sad when you make a beautiful dish and have no picture to show for it!

The garlic tofu has me drooling....

I like how a place as huge as Canada is so generalized.why will they never understand us?
and again with the Canadian thing,I heard about T.O.F.U back in May in a Canadian music magazine but haven't ever seen/found it.

Yeah Jess! You are famous!! Maybe I can steal a glimpse of the article in the magazine section of Powell's?

I pre-ordered the Joanna's cookbook too! I can't wait to get it. I am trying to decide if I should give my newly vegan friend Veganomicon or Yellow Rose Recipes as a bday gift.

Poor camera woes!

I hope you get one soon -- you shouldn't have to pay too much for a good one. Especially with sales and such and the general price of cameras going down, etc. Luck! And I will miss you!

love,
michelle

That first link doesn't work - it takes me to an error page.

Hi everybody! I'm Claire, I do T.O.F.U. Magazine. In the states you can get it at Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe in Atlanta and at Feed Your Head Books in Salem, MA, randomly enough. in Canada it's mainly in Halifax and Winnipeg. But you can get it mail order from our site, and hopefully soon for pdf download.
Hope this helps you guys!
