I feel faint.

Oh dear.

When I read that Food Fight! had in Sweet & Sara marshmallows once again, I caved.

Apparently I’ve heard too much talk of smores and roasting marshmallows this summer, and wanted in. At $6.50, I felt partially insane purchasing them, but after that first bite, indulgently right before I hopped back on my bike to go home, I knew it was worth it. They’re definitely not as fluffly as your non-vegan marshmallow, but they do kick the butts of Pangea’s (which I liked alright anyway). I’m trying to describe the insides, and I have to say..creamy. I spent what seemed like 10 minutes in the store debating between the original and toasted coconut, and you see what won out..

FYI, they also had peanut butter smores in stock.

Why is it that vegan marshmallows are always scarce? They sell like hot cakes. You'd think they'd crank those things out to fill the demand.

THEY are much more like candy than mashmallow huh? I love those things.

I assume it's a pretty labor intense process? At least they now have national exposure..

Webly, I am so not splitting a box with you anymore. All mine.
Have you tried the other flavors? I can't remember what you said you had..

Ooohhhh, I bought a box of those last summer. We went there right before a camping trip to see if they had vegan marshmallows and....that's what they had. One box I bought because they were So Picking Expensive! They were delicious but they sure aren't the thing to use when you're going on a multi-night group camping trip, and there are lots of little kids around wanting a marshmallow that they can set on fire. :-P

I keep meaning to try out making my own. And haven't yet. I'll let you know what happens when I finally do.

Ohhh, I've been dying to try these! I'm not a coconut fan, so I need to get my hands on the originals.
Trade candy corn for marshmallows? hehe.

Those look marvellous. Funny, I haven't had marshmallows for years but all of a sudden I've been craving them these last few weeks. Love the coconut crust too, that would be so good.

Oh. my. hell.
$6.50 or not, those look amazing.

I can't find vegan marshmallows anywhere local. I think it's some sort of fluffy white conspiracy.

Partially insane, yes, but also partially a genius! I've only had vegan marshmallows twice in my life, but I have to say I love them. My friends were amazed at vegan s'mores.

Jess,
I bet these are so good. I wonder how they make them now that the whole Emes thing has come out. I tried making some years and years and years and years ago with agar, and they sucked.

Enjoy those! You're worth it, I think it's great to splurge on yourself.
