I use a generous but not drowning amount of oil and usually don't touch them unless swirling oil around the pan or to flip them over with a big spatula. I hope this helps! I also tend to use very firm bulk tofu, or just barely 'firm' tofu - which I coat in corn starch before frying.jess (of Get Sconed!)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03050850188031153281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20074840.post-1139877314092568042006-02-13T16:35:00.000-08:002006-02-13T16:35:00.000-08:00oh my! i'm not a coffee drinker, but those look he...oh my! i'm not a coffee drinker, but those look heavenly! i think they would be just as tasty sans coffee. :)

question for you:
how do you get your tofu to brown and look so good? i buy extra firm but it still generally falls apart and it seems like i'd have to cook it for ages for it to brown and look as good as yours. thx!Crunchy Domestic Goddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04546426544439507593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20074840.post-1139861120995061472006-02-13T12:05:00.000-08:002006-02-13T12:05:00.000-08:00That biscotti looks heavenly! I would do something like this: http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/recipes/recipe-chicken20.html and add a teeny splash of hot sauce, because I don't think I'd like alllll lime flavor : ) I would basically use lime juice (1-2 limes?), 1-2 teaspoons sweetener like agave or brown sugar, teeny bit hot sauce and desired herbs (I'm bad with herbs unless directed so I'd use what the recipe suggests, just a lot less) and marinate tofu or tempeh [probably would work better] overnight. 1 teaspoon of soy sauce or braggs never hurts too. I'd pan fry it or grill it. For tofu, I can't stand it de-frozen and all chewy but that would probably be good!jess (of Get Sconed!)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03050850188031153281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20074840.post-1139854368028199762006-02-13T10:12:00.000-08:002006-02-13T10:12:00.000-08:00Oh!
